Victoria's Wish to visit England with her family

Victoria is a kind and lovely 14 year-old girl from Metcalfe that was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disease which affects the entire body, causing progressive disability. Victoria spends many hours each day working hard to keep her lungs & airways healthy. She enjoys gardening, swimming, geography, science and history. She also loves to go on long walks with her family and her dog. She likes taking pictures of wildlife and vegetation.
Victoria’s most cherished wish was to go to London, England. Through the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern Ontario, Victoria’s dream came true in July 2011 when she and her family flew to London, England for a week-long vacation. Each day was consumed with walking and adventure and upon their return they spoke about the many museums and historical sites that they visited.
A trip that they will all remember for a very long time!
Dear Make a Wish,
Thank you so, so much for sending me and my family to London for a week. It was one of the best vacations I've ever been on. Seeing places like Stonehenge, The British Museum, and tons of other sites was absolutely amazing. I think that we took over 2'000 photos. I loved the location of the hotel because it was right near Hyde Park and a tube station. Going to and from the airport in limos was a great experience. Talk about traveling in style!
Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.
Vicky
